Hearts beat King Faisal to move back into top four

An impressive Hearts of Oak moved back into the top four of the Ghana Premier League with a 2-0 victory against King Faisal at the Accra Sports stadium.

The Phobians are now fourth on the table and four points adrift of league leaders Asante Kotoko with 11 games remaining.

Hearts dominated the game but broke the deadlock 12 minutes into the second half. Daniel Afriyie set up Kojo Obeng Junior to open the scoring.

Afriyie then sealed the win in the 88th minute with a strike from close range.

King Faisal remain relegation zone following the defeat.

Also on Sunday, Medeama dropped points at Liberty Professionals. A result which denied Tarkwa-based club top spot.

Ashgold were held to a 1-1 stalemate by Eleven Wonders in Obuasi, Inter Allies boosted their survival hopes with 2-0 win over Elmina Sharks.

Karela United and Aduana Stars secured home wins against Bechem United and Berekum Chelsea respectively.

The game between Ebusua Dwarfs and Legon Cities was called off after the first half.
