PURC donates to Greater Accra Regional Hospital

The Child Health Department of the Greater Accra Regional Hospital has benefited from a donation of health items from the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) to support the Child Health Campaign of the hospital. Executive Secretary Mami Dufie Ofori, who led the commission’s staff donated the items to the hospital in good measure to commemorate the Mother’s Day celebration and to contribute to health delivery in Ghana. The commission donated several items including thermometers, plastic chairs, mats, toys, projecting screens, detergents among others to the department. Receiving the items on behalf of the hospital, head of child health department , Dr. Yvonne Brew, expressed appreciation for the items and assured the items would help the hospital in health care delivery. After the donation Dr. Brew led the PURC staff on a tour of the Maternity Wards to engage with the mothers and staff of the hospital, all in the spirit of the Mother’s Day Celebration.
