The Korle Bu Teaching Hospital has recorded a 100 per cent recovery of patients on admission at the facility for coronavirus. “The patients were discharged after a series of confirmatory tests returned negative,” a statement issued by the Chief Executive Officer of the Hospital, Daniel Asare, on Monday said. The patients, discharged on Sunday, include a nurse, a doctor, an orderly and a security officer, who were all infected after coming into contact with an index patient. Seven in all, the patients were from Accra and Bolgatanga. “The patients were impressed with the level of care and the contributions of the multidisciplinary team that the Hospital has assembled and tasked with the treatment of the patients. “The team reiterated its commitment to help in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.” The discharged patients were urged to be ambassadors in the campaign to dispel stigma around the viral disease. So far, Ghana’s case count is 2,169 with 229 recoveries. With the latest development at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, the number of recovered will increase. Source: editors.3news.com|Ghana
