Renowned security expert Adam Bonaa has written off Minister of Special Development Initiatives Mavis Hawa Koomson, who is also Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East Constituency, as deserving of her position.
He said Madam Koomson displayed ignorance by firing warning shots at a voter registration centre in Kasoa on Monday, July 20.
The Minister of State at the Presidency had admitted that she fired warning shots during disruptions at the Steps to Christ Registration Centre in the Constituency to scare hoodlums who were causing commotion.
But speaking on TV3‘s News @10 with Martin Asiedu-Dartey on Monday, Mr Bonaa said he will not be surprised if the MP is first of all removed as a member of the Executive and later her candidature withdrawn by he party.
The commotion is said to have disrupted the exercise.
Four persons who were immediately arrested by the police have been granted bail.
Mr Bonaa said the situation should be worrying to all as the country gears up for an electioneering campaign period.
The incident is under investigation.
