Gyan happy to join ‘ambitious’ Legon Cities

Asamoah Gyan has revealed how excited he is after sealing a move to Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities ahead of the 2020-2021 league season.

Legon Cities announced the deal a day after the 2020 transfer window was closed on October 31.

The 34-year old was linked with a move to his boyhood club Asante Kotoko but a deal wasn’t reached because of the striker’s demands.

The former Sunderland attacker disclosed how happy he is after staging a come back to the league he started his career at and added that he chose to join Legon Cities because of their plans for football in Ghana.

“Here we go. I’m back home to continue my career with @legoncitiesfc. I’m happy to join this club because they have a future plan for Ghana football. Don’t blink when the season starts. Follow my new club for every details of the club. Thanks for your support” he tweeted.
