Sunday fixtures of Matchweek 14, was all levels of entertainment. From Joseph Esso’s brace to Diawisie Taylor’s tenth goal of the season.

Berekum Chelsea’s captain, Stephen Amankona scored the first goal of the afternoon seven minutes into their game against Eleven Wonders and followed up with a goal from the spot. The Bibires put in the work against an inconsistent Eleven Wonders side. The game ended 2-0 at the Golden City Park a result which will not shock Chelsea much because Ignatius Fosu’s team have never beaten them at home before.

Dreams FC were at their usual brilliant 2021 self. A Joseph Esso brace, Agyenim Boateng strike and an Emmanuel Ocran goal was enough for the Believers to clinch all three points. Aduana managed to put two goals in the net thereby ruining their clean sheet run.

Diawisie Taylor scored his tenth goal of the season in a 1-2 win against Dwarfs. He is the first player to hit double digits in terms of goals this season. His goal also ensured Karela won their first away win in 13 games.

Inter Allies and Liberty ended their game in a disappointing 2-2 draw. The Scientific Soccer lads will not be impressed by the results as Inter Allies were awarded a penalty right at the death of the game.

MOTM Bright Enchil was simply class in Medeama’s match against Bechem United. He put his name on the scoresheet but that was before Justice Blay’s strike. The record remains unbroken; Bechem United are yet to beat Medeama in the Ghana Premier League.

Matchweek 14 continues tomorrow evening with Legon Cities vs King Faisal and ends Tuesday afternoon with Olympics vs Elmina Sharks.
