GPL Wk 4 Preview: Kosta Papic leads Hearts’ hunt for first 3 points as Oly seek consolidation against Dwarfs

The Ghana Premier League heads to Match Day 4 with exciting fixtures that may come with enough drama and surprises.

Karela United will seek to continue their unbeaten run when the face Accra Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, December 4.

Elmina Sharks will kick off the weekend against Aduana Stars at the Ndoum Sports Complex in Elmina on Thursday, December 3.

Sharks are placed 9th with 3 points from three games with Aduana Stars having 2 points and at 13th on the log after two games.

On Saturday, King Faisal and Inter Allies go head-to-head at the Nana Ameyaw Park. The “Insha Allah” boys are second bottom with just 1 point while the “Eleven Is to One lads” sit 7th with 4 points after 3 games.

Accra Hearts of Oak are yet to win a game in the league after hurting themselves with a 1-0 defeat against Inter Allies, a win would calm nerves and hand a new breather but Karela United FC are capable of spoiling the party.

Kosta Papic has made a return to the GPL and will be in the dugout when Hearts play Karela. Papic will be hoping to do better against Augustine Adotey’s men who are League leaders after 3 games.

Elsewhere in Dawu, Dreams FC will be motivated to win again at home following their 2-1 defeat to Karela United last weekend. Against struggling Legon Cities, they will hope to excel.

The ‘Believers’ are 6th with 4 points while ‘The Royals’ have just 2 points and occupy the 16th position after 3 games.

Eleven Wonders will be looking to continue their impressive run of form in the league as they welcome West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) to the Ohene Ameyaw Park in Techiman.
