GPL Week 6: Asante Kotoko, Elmina Sharks record wins, Medeama slip at home

December 21, 2020

Kumasi Asante Kotoko bounced back to winning ways in Week 6 of the Ghana Premier League when they made a trip to Dawu to play Dreams FC.

It was the Porcupine Warriors’ first game after the sacking of former head coach Maxwell Konadu. Interim head coach Johnson Smith led them for the fixture.

Johnson Smith made key changes to the side that lost to Great Olympics. He gave newly signed goalkeeper Razak Abalora his debut and replaced Abdul Ganiyu with Wahab Adams in central defence.

Asante Kotoko scored the first and only goal through left back Imoro Ibrahim on the 20 minutes. The former Karela United star sent a shot from a long distance to score.
