GMB 2020: 1st runner-up Abena launches project following home-coming

First runner-up in the 2020 Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB) reality show, Abena, has expressed gratitude to the chiefs and people of the Ahafo Region for their immense support during the show.

The beauty queen also seized the moment to launch her project dubbed ‘WHY US’.

The project seeks to sensitize all on the need to protect the rights of children in society.

In events to mark her home-coming, residents of Acherensua in the Ahafo Region and its environs came out in their number to celebrate the success of Abena.

To many, having been able to showcase the rich culture and heritage of the new region is a great feat worth celebrating.

The Pride of the Ahafo in the 2020 GMB made stops in Kenyasi 1 and 2, Goaso, Hwidiem and Ntotroso, among other communities, thanking the people for their support during the contest.

At a special gathering of inhabitants, chiefs and elders of Acherensua Tradition Area, Abena launched her project to end forms of abuse against children and empower young ones within her region.

She pledged her full commitment to the project, encouraging all to help make it a  success.

Earlier, the beauty queen paid a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief of Tepa in the Ashanti Region to thank and also  brief him about her project.

Nana Adusei Atwenewaa Ampem I  pledged his unflinching support to help Abena successfully execute her project.

With support from  EKK Foundation, Abena will soon embark on her intended advocacy campaign, starting from the Ahafo Region.
