GMB 2018: BA's Ohema bags Most Eloquent prize on final eviction night

TV3’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful took a unique turn away from the usual as contestants talked about love, relationships and their ideal men. The final eviction show was all about the contestants talking about attributes of a good man and what women should look out for in choosing their life partners. This topic was in relation to the celebration of International Men’s Day, which was marked worldwide on November 19. Brong Ahafo Region’s representative Ohema, who was the last to perform on the night, was a relationship expert who advised a client on the kind of man to choose as a life partner. The said client was torn between marrying a wealthy uneducated man or a caring but not-so-good-looking man.

Ohema outlined the pros and cons of marrying both men, urging the client to think about the future, as marriage is a long journey and making such a decision ought to be taken seriously. At the end of the show, she was adjudged the Most Eloquent contestant with the manner in which she articulated her points as a relationship expert and counselor. Upper East Region’s representative Wekia, who kicked off the show, talked about marriage and the need for husbands to support their wives in whatever ambitions they decide to pursue. For Wekia, she would appreciate a man who compliments her flaws and encourages her to achieve her dreams without making her feel less of a human.

After Wekia came Eastern Region’s Abena, who outlined the qualities she desires in a man in a presentation as a teacher. Being God-fearing as a man sat on top of Abena’s list of qualities followed by an educated man amongst other qualities.

Abena noted that choosing a God-fearing man gives a woman a husband who is able to stay true to his commitment as a husband. Ashanti Region’s Afrah had her presentation on faithful men and outlined some characteristics of a faithful man.

For her, a man who respects a woman would not be unfaithful to his wife. Tewa from the Central Region came in as an advisor to a pregnant friend contemplating an abortion because she is being forced to marry the man who got her pregnant, a decision she is not happy with.

She advised her friend not to go ahead with the marriage nor abortion, and rather cautioned her against such men who would put her in the family way. Unfortunately for Tewa, her performance on the night was the last to be seen, as she was evicted from the show.

Tewa had to say goodbye to the competition and her dream of becoming the 2018 Ghana’s Most Beautiful. Her exit leaves four contenders for the crown, car and cash: Ashanti Region’s Afrah, Brong Ahafo’s Ohema, Abena from the Eastern Region, and Wekia, who represents the Upper East Region. The grand finale of this year’s show comes off on December 9, 2018 at the National Theatre in Accra. By Irene Amesimeku| editors.3news.com| Ghana
