Ghana’s Covid-19 cases top 80k; deaths increase

Ghana’s coronavirus cases since the outbreak of the disease has officially gone past 80,000.

The Ghana Health Service (GHS) in its latest update on Sunday put the officially confirmed figures at 80,253.

This follows 598 new cases recorded.

The deaths are now 577 while the recoveries-cum-discharges are now 73,018.

This leaves the active cases at 6,658.

Ghana awaits its consignment of vaccines by the end of this month for vaccination to begin March.
