With 455 new cases confirmed across the country, Ghana’s Covid-19 total infections since the outbreak of the disease on Thursday, March 12 is 40,097.
These are cases as of Tuesday, August 4 and reported between Wednesday, July 15 and Monday, August 3.
The deaths have seen a rise from 199 to 206, according to the latest case count released by the Ghana Health Service (GHS)
The recoveries-cum-discharges are at 36,638, leaving the active cases at 3,253.
Out of these active cases, 25 are said to be in severe conditions while seven are in critical conditions with four of them on ventilators.
So far, over 400,000 tests have been conducted, leaving the country’s positivity rate at 9.8 per cent.
