Ghanaian musician Okuraseni Samuel has alleged there is too much hatred among Ghanaian musicians. He says this is one of the reasons the music industry is seeing no progress.

Speaking to Nana Adjoa Arthur, host of Yenkofie on Connect FM, The musician indicated that the music industry is full of hatred and jealousy. He believes that if these behaviours are stopped, the industry will continue to suffer setbacks.

“There is no love in the industry. We don’t love ourselves. There is so much envy and jealousy among us musicians, and that’s the problem. We hate ourselves, us musicians. Some artists even go to the extreme and pull out from a billed show just because of some lined-up artist.”

The ‘Homework’ hitmaker implored players in the music industry to promote the country’s culture through music.

“I advise that we support each other with love. We should stop the hypocrisy and consider promoting our culture through our music as Ghanaians. If we support and help each other, we will move forward as an industry and country.”

Okurasenii Samuel shot to fame through Tv3’s music reality show mentor and has released hit songs like ‘Muni Kum’ ‘Home Work’ and others.
