Actor Solomon Fixon-Owoo says most Ghanaian producers cast actors for their movies based on how they look.
According to the actor, who starred in the movie ‘Lucky’ this year, he has been denied certain roles because producers thought he did not meet the ‘beauty’ requirement though he is on top of his game.
He said most people who do not meet this looks requirement of producers end up playing minor roles.
Solomon Fixon-Owoo expressed delight for being offered a major role in ‘Lucky’ while speaking on the 3Xtra Radio show on 3FM on Friday, October 12.
“Despite my challenges in getting called back in the numerous movies I auditioned for, I bear no grudge and feel the Wadada character in the movie ‘Lucky’ was one I was meant or destined to play.”
Solomon played the role of Wadada in ‘Lucky’, a character he played so well that many cinema goers left the cinema with his name on their lips.
3Xtra is an all-new lifestyle and entertainment show on which discussions on music, movies, and fashion, among other things, are discussed.
The show is also fused with celebrity appearances and airs every Friday at 3pm.
