Ghanaian-born Nana NYC grabs two awards at GMA-USA

Ghanaian-born US-based musician Nana Yaw, popularly known as Nana NYC, has won the Hip-hop/Hiplife Artiste of the Year Award at the just ended Ghana Music Awards-USA.

Aside bagging that award, Nana NYC also won the collaboration award with his Highlife Song of the Year ‘YAWA’ by Dreamz GH featuring Nana NYC.

Being crowned the Hiphop/Hiplife Artiste of the Year and Highlife Song of the Year indicates Nana NYC’s team’s hardwork throughout the years.

As part of their vision to paint the whole of USA musically with Ghana colors, the current album dubbed NANAYAWBUSINESS has been a project that has toured all the states on big platforms and appearances.

The 2022 Ghana Music Awards-USA, during which Nana NYC grabbed two awards at the Lincoln Theater, Columbus in Ohio, saw some great artistes decorated and acknowledged for their contributions to the industry.

Kofi Kinaata was crowned Artiste of the Year while rapper Black Sherif was also decorated with the Hip-hop/Highlife Artiste of the Year and the New Artiste of the Year.

Diana Hamilton won Female Vocalist of the Year and Akwaboah won Male Vocalist of the Year.

Rap Dacta Okyeame Quame’s ‘Yeeko’ featuring Kuami Eugene walked him home as the Most Popular Song of the Year.
