Ghana to announce World Cup squad on Monday

The Ghana Football Association announced on Thursday that the Black Stars’ final squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar will be revealed on Monday, November 14.

Head coach Otto Addo will name the squad at a press conference at the Multichoice Office in Accra.

Addo, who also works for Dortmund, will be available for the Black Stars following the German club’s Bundesliga match against Monchengladbach.

Otto Addo named a preliminary squad of 55 players last Friday, and he will name a 26-man squad on Monday after consulting with other members of the technical team.

Ghana’s World Cup campaign begins on November 24 against Portugal, followed by matches against South Korea and Uruguay.

The Black Stars will camp in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, where they will face Switzerland in their final pregame match on November 17.
