Ghana Police mulls paperless recruitment process

The Ghana Police Service may not sell forms the next time there is recruitment, a statement on Wednesday, January 6 says.

The Service is therefore advising individuals, parents, guardians and prospective candidates to disregard forms handed out for recruitment.

Signed by SP Cephas Arthur, the Director of Public Affairs, the statement yet again debunked reports that there is a recruitment process ongoing.

“The Police Administration wishes to inform the general public that there is no Police recruitment going on presently.

“Therefore, the public are hereby advised to disregard rumours making rounds that the Police are embarking on a recruitment exercise.”

It says inasmuch as it will announce any such process, the public can report at the nearest police station any persons claiming to recruit on behalf of the police.

The Service was hit by multiple scam recruitment cases last year, leading to the house detention and subsequent interdiction of then Head of Human Resource Development, Patrick Timbillah.
