Ghana book AFCON ticket after draw with South Africa

The Black Stars of Ghana have qualified to the 33rd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations after drawing with South Africa in Johannesburg.

The first half of the game produced less chances as both countries failed to score.

Ajax Midfielder Kudus Mohammed scored right after the break to hand Ghana the lead.

Percy Tau cuts Ghana’s celebration short with a quick response to level matters.

The draw put Ghana top of Group C with 10 points; same as South Africa.

With a better head-to-head against South Africa and Sudan, Ghana have qualified to the finals for the ninth successive time in the history of the competition.

Ghana will however play their last group game in the qualifiers against Sao Tome Principe in Accra on Sunday.
