Ghana Armed Forces takes action against Mahama’s ‘bodyguards’

The Military High Command of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has expressed regret at the conduct of some personnel said to have provided security for businessman Ibrahim Mahama.
According to a release signed by GAF’s Director of Public Relations Aggrey-Quashie, no soldier has been assigned to the president’s brother.
There have been pictures making rounds on social media which sees Ibrahim Mahama in the escort of some military personnel.
“The Military High Command wishes to state that it has not assigned any soldier to Mr Mahama as his bodyguard.
“The soldiers in question were assigned as part of the security details at the Flagstaff House,” the press release explained.
It indicated that “appropriate action has since been taken to address the situation”.
