“FOCOS is not my hospital, it’s our hospital and anyone who comes in and does a great deed for us, we appreciate it. We thank you very much for your donation and we hope that you will also appreciate what we are going to do with it. We will make sure we take good care of it and our staff really thank you.”

Explaining the rationale behind his donation Mr. Thomas Svanikier said, “It’s always good to give and fortunately we have sold a lot of these buses to the Ministry of Education and churches without any complications”.

He also made a commitment to donate two additional Pick-Up trucks to the hospital to support its operations by the end of the year.

The Medical Director of FOCOS Orthopedic Hospital, Dr. Joseph Ogyaadu, and one of the Board of Directors at FOCOS, Roland Akosah, also expressed their gratitude to Mr. Svanikier and the Svani Group for their act of generosity.

The Administrative Manager, Madam Vivian Quarshie, directed the delegation to cut the sod to officially handover the bus to FOCOS.

The delegation from the Svani Group was taken on a tour by the CEO together with some members of the Board of Directors to see the newly constructed Children’s Block and soon-to-be commissioned MRI Suite.

Also present at the ceremony were the Board Chairman of FOCOS, Ambassador Fritz Poku,  Director of Medical Services Dr. Gerhard Ofori-Amankwah, Administrative Manager Vivian Quarshie and Director of Nursing Mavis Kwateng.

Svani Group Limited operates a motor import, servicing workshops, leasing and rentals of vehicles, generators and equipment business in West Africa.

FOCOS Orthopedic Hospital is a world class 70-bed non-profit orthopedic hospital that provides specialist orthopedic care to patients with the help of generous donations from benevolent individuals and organizations.
