Fire Service refutes corruption allegation by retired staff

File[/caption] The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has reacted to allegations by some retired fire officers on Onua FM’s Ghana Dadwene that a special fund which was meant for them has been misused by the current Chief Fire Officer, Dr. Albert Brown Gaisie. The fund is said to have been established four years ago. It mandates all categories of active personnel to contribute GH¢5 every month to assist retired personnel. But the GNFS in a two-page rejoinder signed by the Deputy Director of Public Affairs, Prince Billy Anaglate, explained that all the allegations made by the Former Central and Eastern Regional Fire Commander, Bartholomew Kofi Nketia (Rtd), were false.
