Fire guts Ho Workers’ Estate

Fire on Tuesday morning gutted two apartments within the Workers’ Estate in Ho, destroying properties worth hundreds of cedis. No casualty was recorded in the fire at the block “D”. Henry Asare, an eyewitness who lives on the block told the Ghana News Agency that he spotted smoke from the rooms around 9:30am and rushed to call personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service who put out the fire within 30 minutes of their arrival. Madam Daniella Mawusi Ntow-Sarpong, Volta Regional Fire Commander, who was at the scene with her team said they were yet to establish the cause of the inferno.
