[Photos] GMB queen Sarfoa launches Prison Reform Project at Manhyia

Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2021 winner Benedicta Sarfoa Asamoah has launched her most touted initiative Prisons Reform Project in a colourful mood at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.

The colourful programme, which was graced by the Asantehemaa, Nana Ama Konadu Yiadom III, and Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s wife Her Royal Highness Lady Julia, among other major personalities, in the cultural setting in the Ashanti Region.

On the political dais were representative of the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Kenyan Ambassador to Ghana Eliphas Barine and other government officials.

Representatives of the Ghana Prisons Service was the Director General, Isaac Kofi Egyir, and Director of Prisons in charge of Agriculture, Hanson Adu Awuku.

Under the auspices of Sarfoa Foundation, the initiative is to revamp Ghana’s justice system and retool the Prisons Service to ensure proper reintegration when inmates are done with their jail terms.
