The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, has said if the party wins this year’s elections to form the next government, the police visibility programme will be reintroduced to deal with the seeming insecurity in the country.

He explained that security issues are dear to the heart of the NDC and its flagbearer, John Mahama, therefore, all efforts will be made to strengthen all the security agencies.

He said this in Kumasi when he accompanied the Vice Presidential Candidate of his party, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, to campaign in the Ashanti Region.

Mr Ofosu Ampofo appealed to Ghanaians to vote for the NDC.

Professor Opoku-Agyemang, on her part, advised the youth, especially, to stay away from violence ahead of the elections this year.
