The Member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency, Kennedy Agyapong, has criticized the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, following his promise to legalize commercial motor transport business (Okada) in Ghana ,if he is voted for to become president again.
The former president has said his decision to legitimize Okada stems from the fact that it creates more jobs for the youth.
However, Kennedy Agyapong said Mr Mahama will risk the lives of Ghanaian youths with this plan
He said: “They ride Okada not because they enjoy it but because they are unemployed.
“If you want to become the president of Ghana and you promise to legalize Okada business, you have failed on arrival,” he stressed.
“Even when his 19-year-old son, was celebrating his birthday in Dubai, he bought a Mercedes Benz for him, and he is now telling the unemployed youth in Ghana he will legalize Okada for them to ride and risk their lives,” he told Adom FM Wednesday, September 9.
