A Deputy Director of Communications of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ernest Kofi Owusu-Bempah, has described the flagbearer of the NPP, Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as a transformational leader.
To him, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Former President John Dramani Mahama, cannot be compared to Dr Bawumia.
He explained that the vision and focus of Dr Bawumia is what is required to ensure the transformation of the country.
“Bawumia is a transformational leader,” he told journalist in Accra on Thursday August 1.
“the way Dr Bawumia conducts himself shows that Ghana has a future, it shows we have leader who is transformational, he is committed to development Ghana.”
Owusu-Bempah further dispelled atteos by the NDC to lale Dr Bawumia a liar.
He asked the NDC to come out to point to one thing that the Vice President said in the past which has not come to pass for which they are labeling him a liar.
For him, every single thing that Dr Bawumia said relating to the economy has come to pass therefore the attempt by the NDC to call him a liar will not materialise.
Dr Bawumia has faced criticism from some quarters mainly from the NDC for his inability to fulfill certain campaign promises, leading to the ‘liar’ label.
Dr. Bawumia is set to contest the 2024 elections as the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Ernest Owusu-Bempah “What has Bawumia said that shows he is a liar? What the NDC is doing is gobelien propaganda, it means tell a lie, continue to tell a lie and it will be the truth.
“What has Bawumia said that has not come to pass that the NDC claims he is a liar? We are daring the NDC to come out and tell us, through his political career, what Bawumia said he would do that he didn’t.”
