66 Ivorian nationals who reportedly crossed to Ghana illegally have been arrested by the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) at the Dorbor border checkpoint in the Bono Region.

They had all registered for the Ghanaian voters ID cards in the Electoral Commission’s just ended registration exercise, an act which is against the laws of Ghana.

Upon interrogation, driver of a Kia vehicle which conveyed the illegal immigrates, Kwame Krah, claimed one Yaw at Tempi in Ivory Coast contracted him to convey the people to Kabrono in the Banda district for the registration exercise.

3news.com’s Larry Paa Kwesi Moses reports the immigration authorities held the suspects for further interrogation.
