Teenage star Fatawu Issahaku has joined Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC from Steadfast FC in the Division One League
Issahaku has joined Dreams on loan for the 2021/22 season, the Dawu-based club announced on Sunday.
This comes after a similar move to Real Tamale United fell through, according to reports.
The 17-year-old is said to have an agreement with Sporting Lisbon and would leave for Portugal when he turns 18 in March next year.
Issahaku’s career has been on the rise since dominating the Africa U20 Cup of Nations in Mauritania earlier this year. He was adjudged the best player after inspiring the Black Satellites to win the trophy.
Early this month, he made his debut for the Black Stars in the 1-0 win over Zimbabwe in the World Cup qualifiers in Cape Coast.
Dreams have also signed former Asante Kotoko centre-back Habib Mohammed.
Dreams face Kotoko at home in their opening match when the new season kicks off next weekend.
