CEO of Big Girls Clothing, Adwoa Mensah, has encouraged parents, especially mothers, to educate their children to be well versed in technology.
Adwoa Mensah told Helen Appiah Ampofo on the Womenpreneur segment on 3fm’s Sunrise show that some mothers encourage their children to keep up with the trends. She impressed upon women who were not privileged to acquire formal education to send their wards to institutions that would train them to become proficient in basic technology.
Using herself as an example, she made it known that, like other parents, she couldn’t acquire formal education, which has affected her business in a way.
According to her, employing JHS leavers to help in her business creates the right environment conducive for work. Given that, they can practicalize the theory they’ve learnt in school.
“I’m very old school. I will encourage women because sometimes we are not very knowledgeable in that aspect, for those of us who are not from the new age,” she stated.
