Ex-Hearts coach dies

A former coach of Hearts of Oak, Yusif Abubakar, has died. Yusif Abubakar also coached King Faisal, Heart of Lions, Techiman City, Berekum Chelsea and until recently Aduana Stars, with whom he won the 2016/2017 Ghana Premier League. He was, however, relieved of his role during the side’s CAF Confederation Cup group campaign and replaced with Kenichi Yatsuhashi. Yusif Abubakar was one of the coaches considered for the Asante Kotoko job prior to the appointment of CK Akunnor. He was just last month appointed Head Coach of the Black Meteors to prepare the national U-23 men’s soccer team for the Tokyo 2020 qualifiers. Abubakar died on Tuesday after a short illness. He was buried a few hours later in accordance with Islamic rites. Source: 3news.com|Ghana]]>
