EC makes Special Voters List public

November 26, 2020

The Electoral Commission, Ghana (EC) has published the Special Voters List on its website for the perusal of registered special voters for the December 1 early voting.

The List comprises names of registered voters from the security agencies, the media and staff of the EC who will work on elections day, December 7.

According to a press release from the EC, soft copies of the List have been provided to the representatives of the organisations to participate in the special voting “to enable members verify their details and locations ahead of time”.

“The publication of the Special Voters List will enable registered special voters to know their various polling stations ahead of time,” the release on Wednesday said.

NDC goes to court on Dec 28?

December 22, 2020

“This will promote a seamless and timely electoral process.”

All special voters can only vote on Tuesday, December 1 as their names will not be included in the register for December 7.

“It is therefore necessary that applicants take the necessary steps to verify their details to avoid being disenfranchised as they will not be allowed to vote on the 7th of December 2020 should they miss the Special Voting Facility.”
