The Koforidua Catholic Diocese, Justice and Peace Commission in Somanya in the Eastern Region has asked electorates to exercise their rights responsibly.
The Parish Priest of the St Peters Catholic Church, Very Rev. Bright Agyepong, who represented the Catholic Bishop of Koforidua, in an interview said the electorate must vote responsibly.
“Let us exercise this decision responsibly so that in the next four years the people who will be at the helm of affairs are the people we have chosen consciously,” he said.
“Do not be influenced wrongly. But let’s be clear in our minds exactly what we are doing.”
He added: “It is also clear that our MPs first represent us. So if you are voting for an MP, it must be someone who is willing to represent you and have your community interest at heart.
“Let us all get together, exercise this responsibility well and make sure that we don’t do anything untoward that would affect the peace of this nation.:
