Duffuor was influenced by anti-Mahama gurus – Political Scientist

A Political Science lecturer at the , Jonathan Asante Okyere, has said that 's injunction on the (NDC) was influenced by some anti-Mahama elements in the party.

The Political Scientist alleged that some persons in Dr Duffuor's team urged him to pursue the injunction route just to get back at former President Mahama.

Speaking in an interview with host Alfred Ocansey on prior to the primaries, Mr. Okyere said: “If you ask me, it is basically those surrounding the noble doctor.

“I will not mince words. With the likes of Solomon Nkansah, Mettle Nunoo, Yaw Boateng Gyan and Koku Anyidohu, as you know, has been an ardent critic of Mr. Mahama and the chairman himself, and if you have the likes of the names I have mentioned, it is no secret in the media, that these people are counselling the doctor.”

He noted that Dr Kwabena Duffour is a noble and well-respected man within the NDC and as such if he were to be having issues with the album of an upcoming elections, first port of call should have been to call on the party leaders to address whatever issues he has and not proceed to court to place an injunction on the impending elections.

Mr Asante Okyere added that even at the grassroots, the might even affect his son Kwabena Duffour Jnr, who is running for the parliamentary seat of .
