3FM’s Dr. William Okyere-Frempong has been honoured for championing the cause of effective and efficient healthcare delivery among other things through his health programme on 3FM, Positive Pulse.
Dr. Will as he is popularly called on radio was awarded with the “Health Advocate Clinician of the Year’ award at the HELEH Africa Awards held in Accra.
The HELEH Africa Awards, organized by Media Men Ghana is aimed at recognizing and rewarding individuals, practitioners and organizations that impact the health sector positively.
HELEH Africa Awards also seeks to promote and enhance professional mentorship among healthcare practitioners within Africa.
This year’s Award was under the theme “Promoting total quality corporate healthcare and wellness for socio-economic enhancement through Pan-Africanism,” and rewarded a number of individuals and organizations within the health sector.
“Positive Pulse” a health programme which is hosted by Dr. Will on 3FM every Sunday evening is focused on discussing some health conditions and matters associated with it in the bid to educate the general public.
Over the years, the programme has served as a go to place for many listeners who are constantly educated about symptoms and precautions to be taking regarding certain ailments.
Dr. Will was therefore honoured at the HELEH Africa Awards for health advocacy and promotion through his radio programme.
