A Nigerian clergywoman has sounded a word of caution to people who criticize church leaders for flaunting wealth. According to Pastor Mildred Okonkwo, people who are not privy to the struggles of pastors have no right to dictate how they should spend their blessings.
Lady pastor gave this revelation in a sermon where she disclosed that some members also associate the wealth of their pastors to tithe and church offerings. She mentioned that men of God and their wives don’t brag about the resources they sow into the work of God. So, some members assume they spend church money.
“If you are a church member like that, repent today because Pastors wives will not tell you what they are going through.”
Pastor Mildred urged people who think like that to ask for forgiveness.
“The day your pastor’s wife do hair, you would say it was church money. Meanwhile, you don’t know that even what that pastor is supposed to eat at home, he has sown it. Pastors don’t say these things. And then tomorrow you see him flying jets, you would be angry. You can’t be angry because you don’t know my sacrifice. You dare not be angry.”
