Detest violence but be vigilant on election day, Nana Addo tells supporters

Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has admonished his supporters to eschew violence but be vigilant on election day.

He added that renewing the mandate of the National Democratic Congress would be to render the economy hopeless in the next four years.

The NPP flagbearer was addressing a rally at Hohoe as part of his campaign tour of the Volta Region.

He outlined his three-pronged vision in the creation of wealth through “job availability, radical industrialisation regimes and the provision of free and quality education up to the Senior High School (SHS) level.”

He said his government would restore the value of the Cedi to equal other major currencies as its continuous weakness is affecting all facets of the economy.

Nana Akufo-Addo indicated that during the Kufuor regime, when his running mate, Dr Mahamadu Bawumiah was the Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, the Cedi equalled the US Dollar but the situation has deteriorated.

Akufo-Addo also drew similitude from the US Elections saying Ghanaians would tread the same path in conducting fair and peaceful elections.
