Dela Coffie lashes out at ‘cult followers’ of Mahama over Duffour lecture

Outspoken youth activist, Dela Coffie is lashing out at people he describes as cult followers of former President John Dramani Mahama, after their attempt to malign Dr Kwabena Duffuor over his intended “Ghanaian dream” economic lecture under the auspices of the Institute of fiscal Studies slated for Monday 29th of November 2021.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, Dela Coffie said “the cult followers of Mahama have ramped up their attacks on Dr. Duffuor simply because he has chosen to organise a lecture and to speak to matters of national concerns.”

The youth activist who once served as Rawlings’s mouth piece also averred that the attacks on Dr Kwabena Duffuor is a calculated treachery against his presidential bid.

“Indeed, I’m getting the distinct impression that the imminent announcement by Dr. Duffuor of his presidential bid is driving the Mahama camp over the edge -He’s officially not in any contest and yet his public appearances are causing fear and panic among the followers of Mahama,” he stated.

Dela Coffie concluded that “Admittedly, there is a serious problem within the NDC. If you were being kind, you would call it blind unquestioning loyalty or, kinder still, the ostrich mentality. Those of us who aren’t sucked in by the cult of Mahama need to do all we can to fight it.”
