Ghana and Leicester City defender, Daniel Amartey, is back to playing football after he suffered an injury in 2018.
Amartey got hurt in Leicester City’s Premier League game against West Ham at the King Power stadium when his foot got stuck in the turf while preventing Michail Antonio from scoring.
He also suffered a setback in June 2020, while training.
The 25-year-old has recovered and featured in the Foxes’ final pre-season match against Blackburn. He scored the game’s opener when he headed in a corner in the second half of the match.
It ended 1-1. The East Midland club took to twitter to congratulate the player on his return to which Amartey retweeted.
Leicester will now prepare for the new season as they travel to the West Midlands to face newly promoted Premier League club, West Bromwich Albion on September 8.
