Joseph Badu Boateng, also known by his alias “Dada Joe Remix,” has been successfully extradited from Ghana to the United States.
He now faces charges in the U.S. over his alleged involvement in a multi-million dollar fraud ring that utilised romance and inheritance scams.
The U.S. Embassy in Ghana announced the extradition via a post on social media, confirming the collaborative effort between U.S. and Ghanaian authorities. Special agents from the Embassy’s Diplomatic Security Service worked in conjunction with Ghanaian authorities to assist the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the operation.

Mr. Boateng was indicted for allegedly orchestrating a fraud ring that defrauded American victims of several million dollars through these sophisticated romance and inheritance schemes.
He is now in the United States, where he is expected to face justice.
This extradition is part of the ongoing international cooperation in combating transnational organised crime and protecting citizens from financial fraud.
