President Mahama appoints Dr. Doli-Wura Zakaria as MD of National Investment Bank

Dr. Doli-Wura Awushi Abdul-Malik Seidu Zakaria

The President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Dr. Doli-Wura Awushi Abdul-Malik Seidu Zakaria as the new Managing Director of the National Investment Bank (NIB).

His appointment takes effect from January 27, 2025, as stated in an official letter signed by Callistus Mahama, Ph.D., Secretary to the President.

The letter, addressed to the Minister of Finance, directs the necessary steps to be taken to regularize the appointment in accordance with the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 929) and the constitution of the bank.

Dr. Doli-Wura Zakaria appointed MD of National Investment Bank

The President’s nomination of Dr. Zakaria is expected to bring strong leadership and expertise to the National Investment Bank as the institution continues its mission of providing financial services to businesses and individuals in Ghana.

The appointment aligns with the government’s efforts to strengthen Ghana’s financial sector and enhance the operations of state-owned financial institutions.
