Former Constituency Chairman of Afigya Kwabre South and main contender of Chairman Wontumi Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as COKA, on Monday received scores of identifiable groups within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at his home.
The first was some serial callers led by Kwabena Nyame and Honourable Abilele.
They urged him to support the newly elected regional executives despite the loss so that the NPP can ‘break the 8’.
“This was an internal election and we believe we are done with it. Now the party needs everyone on board to break the 8. Our coming here was to show our support for him and also impress on him to support the current executives,” Kwabena Nyame told William Evans-Nkum.
The Ashanti Region NPP communicators were also at his house to show solidarity.
“He cares about members in the party and that has won him many admirers. Evencthough he didn’t win, his influence is very much needed to secure victory in 2024,” Essel Mills stated.
Other groups that met COKA were some executives of the Kejetia Traders Association and former members of the disbanded Delta Force.
