Black Stars remain 46th in latest FIFA ranking

September 17, 2020

The Black Stars of Ghana retained their position on the latest FIFA ranking released on Thursday September 17 by the world’s football governing body.

Ghana’s senior national team remained 46th on the world front with 1,439 points and 6th on the African continent in the ranking for the month of September.

However, 2019 AFCON runners-up Senegal remained top of the African rankings and are the best African country on the world ranking with 1,555 points.

The Black Stars’ last batch of assignments remain a 2-0 home win over South Africa and a 1-0 away victory over Sao Tome and Principe in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifiers in November last year.
