Black Stars’ Frank Acheampong scores both goals in Anderlecht’s 2-0 Europa League win

Black Stars player Frank Acheampong scored twice in Anderlecht’s 2-0 win over Russian side Zenit St Petersburg in the Europa League on Thursday.

It was the first knockout round of the League with the Belgian side hosting the first leg.

Acheampong was featuring for the side for the first time after the Black Stars’ 4th place finish at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.

With a Nicolae Stanciu assist, Acheampong found the back of the net as early as the fifth minute.

He got the second a minute after the half-hour mark.

The former Berekum Chelsea winger was, however, substituted in the 60th minute.

The second leg will be played next Thursday in Russia.
