Ghana’s U-20 male national team, the Black Satellites arrived safely in Nouadhibou International Airport, Mauritania on Saturday evening ahead of the U-20 African Cup of Nations.
The delegation led by Executive Council Member, Dr. Ransford Abbey, 26 players, 9 technical team members, management committee members and other officials left Accra on Saturday via an Airforce plane and arrived in Nouadhibou later on Saturday evening.
The Ghanaian contingent will go through a mandatory Covid-19 test on Sunday morning before holding their first training session.
The Black Satellites will face Tanzania in their opening match on Tuesday February 16 before squaring off with Morocco and Gambia in subsequent group matches.
Ghana last won the AFCON U-20 tournament in 2009.
