Ghana’s U-17 women’s soccer team has touched down in Montevideo, Uruguay for the upcoming FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup.
The Black Maidens have been camped in neighbouring Brazil for their pre-tournament training camp.
They jetted to the host country on Thursday in readiness for the opening game of the tournament.
Ghana will play the hosts, Uruguay, in Group A and with New Zealand and Finland as well.
The tournament begins on Tuesday, November 13 and scheduled to end on Saturday, December 1.
Ghana’s highest finish at the tournament was in 2012 in Azerbaijan, where the Maidens picked Bronze.
The country is also among six qualified teams which have made appearances at the tournament since its inception in 2008.
