President of Division One League side Berekum Arsenal Alhaji Yakubu Moro has passed on in Accra after falling sick for some weeks.
The popular football administrator died on the night of Thursday, October 15 at the Ridge Hospital.
Yakubu Moro has not been well for some weeks now and was receiving treatment in Berekum before he was transferred to the national capital.
A strong pillar in recent Ghanaian football history, particularly in the Bono and Ahafo regions, he qualified Berekum Arsenal FC to the Ghana Premier League in 2000 and played 13 years at the highest level before going on relegation in 2013.
Per Islamic tradition, he will be buried on Friday, October 16.
