Barnieh was part of the Black Stars squad at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Though he failed to get game time with Otto Addo’s side at the tournament, he was instrumental in the side’s 2-0 win over Switzerland in the pre-tournament friendly in UAE.
