The head pastor of the Tema Community Four Assemblies of God Church, Rev David Nabegmado, has been stabbed to death.
He was said to have been stabbed by an unknown man at his office at the Church premises Sunday morning just when he was about to leave for the church auditorium to deliver his last Sunday sermon for 2018.

Rev. Nabegmado was rushed to the Tema General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The suspect, yet to be identified, was arrested by members of the congregation as he attempted to escape, and has since been handed over to the Police for investigations.
It is unclear what caused the suspect to stab the pastor.
The incident disrupted church service for the day as the congregants who were shocked and livid, stepped out of the auditorium to the church premises to demand the release of the suspect so they could beat him but the church did not budge.

As the suspect was being whisked away, some of the church members forced open the boot of the 4×4 vehicle in an apparent move to pull him out but the leaders closed it quickly before the members could enter.
In one of two videos available to 3news.com, one of the church members was heard saying in Twi “why should he be taken to prison?” while another thanked God that the suspect had been arrested.
‘He was a dedicated man of God’
Rev. Alfred Kwame Akumbie who is the Greater Accra East General Secretary of the Assemblies of God Church confirmed the death of Rev. Nabegmado to 3news.com and described late pastor as not only “a lovely and caring” person but also “a dedicated man of God”.
He said members of the Assemblies of God Church are down because of the kind of person the late pastor was, noting he supported people in various ways.
“I mean if we want to recap the good things this man of God has done, we will not be able to finish it… In fact he has impacted a lot of lives in our society and so for somebody to imagine evil to come and take his life, then that is a serious thing,” he told our correspondent Josephine Frimpong at the Church premises Sunday.

Asked about what could possibly have caused someone to murder the Rev Nabegmado, he said: “One cannot tell what happened between the one who came to kill him; it’s difficult to really tell”
Meanwhile, he said he will inform the Regional Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Church about the unfortunate incident so that at their next executive presbytery meeting, they look at the possibility of providing security for the pastors
