Ashgold vs Inter Allies: Players and officials under investigation over alleged match-fixing

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) have revealed the names of players and officials under investigation over the alleged match-fixing between AshantiGold and Inter Allies.

The names were published on the GFA website on Wednesday following a review of the match video, match reports and information received by the association.

According to the GFA, the entire playing body and team officials of AshantiGold and Inter Allies who featured in the Matchday 34 Ghana Premier League game played in Obuasi on Saturday, July 17, 2021, have been placed under sporting investigation.

They added that General Public and all Stakeholders are to note that until investigations are over, the Ghana Football Association will not approve the issuance of any International Transfer Certificate (ITC) and Introductory letter to any Embassy for visas for any of the persons under investigation.

The match ended 7-0 with Inter Allies player Hashmin Musah intentionally scoring two own goals to prevent an alleged pre-arranged result.

However, both clubs have denied being involved in any match-fixing allegations.
