Andy Dosty unmoved by Shatta Wale’s apology after insulting his mother
Ghanaian On-Air-Personality, Andy Dosty has disclosed that Dancehall superstar, Shatta Wale has offered an apology after insulting his mother during a performance.
Andy Dosty in a conversation with co-hosts, Sally Mane and DJ Slim on Adom TV shared that he and dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, had spoken after the incident.
According to him, the emotional tête-à-tête was facilitated by a respected individual whom Shatta Wale had reached out to.
During the 50 minutes long conversation, Shatta Wale opened up about some of Andy Dosty’s actions that he also abhorred. He further revealed that his mother had also advised him to forgive the controversial musician for his utterances.
“All I can say is that we have spoken, he called a big man and that person called me. He channelled the apology through someone and we spoke for more than 50 minutes. He also expressed some of my actions he didn’t like. Even my mother called and said we are brothers so we shouldn’t let this go far,” he said.
However, Andy Dosty said he was unwilling to let the matter slide completely because conflicts between them should remain so and not involve their parents.
“He has spoken to me. Shatta Wale has spoken to me. He has apologized but that isn’t all. I won’t let go just like that,” he added.
Andy Dosty and Shatta Wale’s ensuing beef began last week on an episode of his radio show on Hitz Fm where revealed why he had decided not to speak or promote Shatta’s new studio project, ‘Maali’.
“You want me to talk about it? An artiste that stands on stage and insults my mother and talks anyhow and foolishly to my mother, and you want me to what?” he quizzed.
“That’s all I have said. I love my mother, and nobody, nobody… I won’t speak ill of anyone’s mother; she raised me well. You can fool around. The fooling is too much in this country,” jabbing Shatta Wale for his uncouth behaviour.
If you don’t have sense, I do. If you don’t respect, don’t come here. The woman who gave birth to me has lived a good life and has a good place to live,’’ he hammered.
